Though I was able to meet Pete and Jason in Sydney, I didn't have the pleasure of working as closely with them as I did with Cam.
I remember first meeting Cam in Vegas at the Consumer Electronics Show. We ended our meeting on time as we both had other meetings in 30 minutes. Cam was meeting with a wireless retailer and I was meeting a friend who had asked me to join one of his scheduled meetings. It turned out to be the same meeting. I, like an experienced CES attendee, waited in line for a cab to get to the next meeting. Cam, like a CES newbie, looked up at the Vegas Strip and decided he could just walk. My friend and I enjoyed food and beverages while we were waiting for Cam, who was running late. When he finally showed up, his shirt was soaking wet and there was sweat pouring down his shaved head. G'day mate. If I had known him better at the time, I would've taken a few pics. He looked something like this:

In the weeks following our meeting, I pushed hard for Qology to test WhistleOut leads for Sprint. Cam probably thought I was full of s*** because I kept delaying the decision. In reality, it was a Herculean task to convince the Qology CFO to sign up for pay per click, after we had just terminated all pay per click partnerships (except Google) and migrated them to pay per sale. I eventually got the CEO to agree to a test and the rest is history.
After Qology sold to Centerfield, I had the privilege of joining the WhistleOut team. I'll always remember the time when Cam invited me to join him in Toronto for a meeting, only to have Cam pull a no-show. At the time, I was trying to figure out if Cam was full of s*** but I now believe his incredulous visa mishap story.
The WhistleOut guys and gals on both continents are truly exceptional. I'm honored to have been a part of the company's growth and I'm excited for Cam, Jason and Pete on the successful sale to Clearlink. While WhistleOut will continue on, things won't be the same without its founders. I wish them the best in their future endeavors and hope we cross paths again.
